Ultrasonic Cleaning Bath

Ultrasonic cleaning baths use cavitations to remove dirt from objects that are immersed in the cleaning liquid. Cavitations is the sequential formation and collapse of vapor bubbles and voids in a liquid subjected to acoustic energy at high frequency and intensity.Cavitations occurs wherever the liquid penetrates, ensuring that the smaller and larger aperture sieves are cleaned equally well. Ultrasonic baths are also useful for cleaning fragile items such as glassware.

Frequencies

The frequency of ultrasonic waves controls the cleaning efficiency. Each particular cleaning job has a specific frequency range.

25 kHz-This is the most powerful sonic frequency that can be used, they are mainly used in industrial applications.

40 kHz-It is the most commonly used frequency and is considered standard. The bath is suitable for most ingredients and removes most types of pollutants. Suitable for cleaning most jewelry, tools, coins, and more.

80 kHz- This frequency works best for parts with lots of items and complex geometry. For example, objects with small holes, fine threads, and other complex features.

120 kHz or more- They have a very low cavitation force and their main application is for the removal of the tiniest particles. They can be used to clean sensitive devices, the optical and medical industry, and remove dust from sensitive components.

What is the most common:

Unless you have specific requirements, the best ultrasonic cleaning frequency to use is 40 kHz or something close to it, like 42 kHz.

The 20-25 liter cleaning bath has an internal diameter of 410mm and a height of 200mm,accommodating sieves of up to 315mm diameter.

Volume : 2 to 500L
